Tomorrow I start a new chapter in my career. I recently accepted a job at Chelmsford High School, where I will take over the leadership of the choral program. I'm very excited to work with a highly qualified team of music educators and can't wait to see what new opportunities lie ahead!

I'm delighted to announce my collaboration with Marblehead Little Theatre, where I am currently music directing a production of Stephen Sondheim's Company. It is a privilege to work with this talented cast, and I love studying this challenging score.
Performances run March 14 through 23. Tickets will go on sale February 14.

Today I'm excited to begin a three-year term on the Salem Cultural Council.
The Salem Cultural Council is part of the Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC), a state agency that supports public programs and educational activities in the arts, sciences, and humanities. The Salem Cultural Council is responsible for designing local funding criteria for the grants and granting preliminary approvals. The Massachusetts Cultural Council has final approval and awards funding drawn from appropriations from the state legislature.
The Salem Cultural Council places an emphasis on locally-based artists and programs. We are looking for works and presentations that will have the greatest impact on the Salem Community and promote the history, diverse culture and positive attributes of the North Shore area.

I have just returned from a fantastic three-week European tour with the American Music Abroad Liberty Tour. I was proud to serve on a dynamic team of music educators as we led 125 high school and college students on a five-country concert tour. Highlights included concerts in Vienna, Reit Im Winkl, Hippach, Westendorf, Abano Terme, Pula, Rovinj, and Velenje.
Above is a photo of me conducting the Liberty Tour Chorus in St. Stephen's Cathedral, a famous Vienna landmark where Mozart briefly served as a music director. It was also the site of his wedding and funeral. The acoustics were incredible, and many of us were moved to tears by the experience.
With six weeks of summer remaining, I will be going full steam ahead on my work for Connections Academy. So far I've submitted one instructional unit for a high school music course to be offered in the fall. It's a challenging and exciting project that has strengthened my knowledge of curriculum design, and I feel fortunate to work with a passionate and committed team.
